Conference Director

The Conference Director oversees Circle’s Conference Department and its projects. He/she will report to our Director of Operations and be responsible for overseeing conference staff in all aspects of meeting planning, including management of multiple Federal conference-related projects and tasks; evaluating, updating, and maintaining department policies and procedures; ensuring project deliverables and materials meet established quality standards; monitoring staffing and workflow to yield on-time, within budget deliverables that meet expected client guidelines and corporate standards; leading proposal-related activities for the department, including RFP analysis, pricing, strategy development, and writing and editing; and building constructive and positive working relationships across all company departments.

Qualified candidates must have experience managing staff or a department; a minimum of 10 years experience with direct and successful management of Federal government conference and logistics contracts. Additionally, we will only consider candidates with a bachelor’s degree, e.g., English, journalism, communications, marketing or related field though a master’s degree is preferred. He/she must have a CMP certification. He/she must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills; the demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with people internally and externally; and a high comfort level with computer technology and its application to projects, presentations, and management (e.g., the Web, graphic design, multimedia, databases).

Systems Engineer

The System Engineer is responsible for the operation of the help desk, voice and data communications networks, and local area network. Other areas of responsibility are IT support, network planning and management, local and remote network hardware installations, data center security administration, and disaster recovery.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree; 4-6 years experience as a Windows System Administrator; in-depth demonstrable knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Exchange; experience with other network operating systems (Linux); good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Director of Contracts

The Director of Contracts will be responsible for managing all company contract matters to ensure legal, cost, documentation, schedule, and other requirements are met and serve as the corporate contract liaison for partners, subcontractors, and clients. Significant responsibilities include managing prime contracts from “cradle to grave” for Federal government agencies, as well as State, local, and/or commercial contracts and subcontracts; preparing and reviewing teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontracts, and consulting agreements; providing advice and recommendations to internal project managers and the company’s Executive Committee relative to Circle’s contracts; prepare all internal contract reports and information; and serve as representative for GAO or other audits.

Qualified candidates must have bachelor’s degree and/or a CPCM; a minimum of eight (8) years experience in the Federal government contracting arena; experience with civilian agencies (HHS, DOJ, etc.); a minimum of 5 years as a manager and supervisor; excellent oral and written communication skills, patience and flexibility; demonstrated knowledge of the FAR; and experience with multiple contract types, performance-based contracting, and GSA schedules.

Bilingual Information Specialist

The Bilingual Information Specialist will responds to inquires in English and Spanish for information and materials received by telephone, mail, e-mail, fax, the Web, and other communication channels by using approved protocols, scripts, and responses. The Bilingual Information Specialist responds verbally or prepares written responses and enters the request, contact data, and outcome into appropriate databases. This position maintains and updates project resource databases and materials as assigned; represents the project and promotes project services at conferences and meetings; and performs other duties as assigned by project management.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and one year’s experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a health-related field; excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish; proficiency with MS Office applications and using the Internet; a high comfort level with computer technology (databases, printers, etc.) and the ability to provide exhibit support by traveling to local and national conferences or meetings as assigned.

Senior Information Specialist

The Senior Information Specialist supervises and provides training, technical assistance and resource support to information specialists and other inquiry response staff. The position responds to complex requests for materials and information received by telephone, mail, email, fax, the Web and other communication channels. The position searches and uses Web content, approved protocols, scripts and standard responses to prepare written and verbal responses; enters request and contact data into appropriate inquiry tracking and ordering databases; and maintains and updates resource database records and mailing lists. The Senior Information Specialist also leads and provides technical support for specific task or project assignments; coordinates or assists with staff scheduling and training; monitors and ensures quality of services; prepares and produces reports; and leads or assists with the promotion of services at conferences and meetings.

Qualified candidates are required to have bachelor’s degree (Psychology, social sciences, or health-related preferred) and three years of experience in a customer service setting, or five years of related experience, one year of experience supervising staff, tasks or processes, ability to travel to attend and provide exhibit support at local and national conferences, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Internet searching, ability to successfully multi-task and complete tasks independently, excellent oral and written communication skills.

Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant will assist the Senior Proposal Manager, Senior Marketing Associate, and Marketing Director in all aspects of internal and external marketing duties including capture management, proposal management, and proposal production. The Marketing Assistant will perform capture management and administrative support functions such as searching assigned resources for new RFPs and bids, assemble data for weekly Marketing staff meetings, and provide general administrative support for the marketing department.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or related field, plus at least 2 years administrative/production experience. Other requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint; experience maintaining a database and converting/managing electronic documents; the ability to be a team player and build effective working relationships with people; and time flexibility to meet proposal or other key deadlines.

Application Developer (.Net)

The Application Developer (.Net) will participate in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting our Web and database applications. The duties include designing new applications and enhancing existing ones; and collaborating with other developers on a wide variety of projects with short turnaround times. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to work productively with minimal oversight, as well as participate successfully in a team environment, and have an open-minded approach to problem solving and learning.

Qualified candidates must have bachelor’s degree in relevant field; a minimum of 2 years full time relevant development experience in a business setting, demonstrating experience and fluency with ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio; strong programming knowledge and demonstrated solid understanding of OOP concepts; and working knowledge of one or more databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), including SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.

Application Developer (Web)

The Application Developer (Web) will participate in the design of new Web applications or enhancements to existing ones; develop, design, and construct dynamic, database-driven web sites; meet with staff and clients to identify needs and solutions; and collaborate with other developers on a wide variety of projects with short turnaround times. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work productively with minimal oversight, as well as participate successfully in a team environment, and have an open-minded approach to problem solving and learning.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in relevant field; at least 4 years full time relevant development experience in a business setting, which includes demonstrated experience and fluency with HTML (best practices and accessibility), CSS, JavaScript, cross-browser compatibility, and Web sites that interact with databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server), and Section 508.

Writer/Editor

The Writer/Editor will support writing, editing, and proofreading for a wide variety of materials including fact sheets and booklets, newsletters, monthly reports, meeting summaries and conference materials (agendas, speaker bios, etc.).

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5–7 years of editorial and notetaking experience, excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation, style, and format; ability to understand and interpret information for diverse audiences; good detail and organizational skills, and flexibility and the ability to work an occasional evening or weekend in a crunch. Must be familiar with GPO, Chicago, AP, and AMA style guides. Must be able to record and take notes from highly scientific conference calls and meetings and write meeting summaries. Strong familiarity with writing and editing using Plain Language standards. Must know standard proofreading marks and be able to provide detailed copyediting and proofreading. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to edit using Track Changes. An advanced degree is strongly preferred.
